Bobby Martinez of the United States won the Bilabong Pro Tahiti surfing tournament Tuesday over Australian Taj Burrow. The California-based Martinez scored a 9.73 points out of a possible 10 on one of his waves and went on to win the event with 18.46 points compared to Burrow's 16.10. I waited for the good ones out there and just got lucky, said Martinez, who moved up to seventh place on the Association of Surfing Professionals tour.
