The Abaco Island Boa (Epicrates exsul), also known as the Northern Bahamas boa, is a non-venomous species of snake native to the Bahamas. It is the only species recognized in this genus and family. It is found on Grand Bahama Island and Great Abaco Island, and also Elbow Cay and Little Abaco Island. The Abaco Island Boa grows to a maximum length of 31.5 inches. Its body is slender and has a shimmering reddish sheen. This reptile feeds on small mammals, birds and lizards.
