ESA Signs Astro-H Agreement With JAXA

An agreement was signed by ESA and the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) for cooperation on Astro-H, an important mission that will provide a unique opportunity for probing extreme phenomena in the Universe. A pioneering X-ray detector developed at NASA'S Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Greenbelt, Md. will launch on board the new Astro-E2 space observatory.
