Florida officials said Wednesday they were looking into whether an unapproved vitamin supplement may have killed 21 polo horses in Wellington. Examinations of the horses' carcasses revealed the animals had suffered from lung hemorrhages, The Palm Beach Post reported.. State Agriculture Department spokesman Mark Fagan said investigators were looking into whether the vitamin supplement Biodyl may have been involved in the Sunday deaths, the Post said.
