The Corriedale sheep is a breed of domestic sheep that was developed in New Zealand and Australia between 1868 and 1910 by crossbreeding the Merino sheep and Lincoln sheep. The original developer of the breed, James Little, wanted to create a sheep that could survive in areas with low rainfall and still produce long staple wool.
