Teen birth rates in the United States reached a record low in 2009, according to stunned experts, who say the decline is partly due to the slowed economy. National data shows a "dramatic" rise in the number U.S. teenagers choosing to abstain from sex between 1992 and 2002, while the use of contraceptives among those who are sexually active has similarly shot up, according to a new report.
