By Kelley L. Carter The ladies love McLovin'. And they share a similar affection for Christopher Mintz-Plasse, the actor who played the nerdy sidekick in Superbad. As outcast Augie Farks in Role Models (opening today), Mintz-Plasse is more geeked-up than ever. "You know, there are ladies out there who just want to hook up with a movie star," Mintz-Plasse says, "and I'm not saying that I haven't hooked up with girls. But I'm not attracted to girls who are really beautiful and...

By Anthony Breznican MONROEVILLE, Pa. -- The amateur moviemakers walk out of a coffee shop into a winter dawn, hauling a small digital camera, a tripod and a boom mike made out of a hockey stick. They're just happy to find their footage is in focus. It's an early scene from Zack and Miri Make a Porno, opening Friday. Zack (Seth Rogen) begins eagerly outlining his plans for the next evening's secret shoot at the coffee shop, and Miri (Elizabeth Banks) looks in wonder at her...

U.S. movie director Kevin Smith says his wife was initially jealous when he began work on "Zack and Miri Make a Porno." The "Dogma" director said when his wife learned the movie would involve a great deal of female nudity, she initially was not too thrilled with the concept of having her husband surrounded by naked women, The Boston Globe reported Sunday. "She was very standoffish at the beginning," Smith said of his wife. "(But) all that went away very quickly when she met (adult film...

Donner directed and produced the four previous "Lethal Weapon" films, which starred Gibson. By JAHLA SEPPANEN; GN BY JAHLA SEPPANEN GENERATION NEXT What can one say about Pineapple Express pot, pot and more pot. This action-comedy-stoner film stars everyone's favorite Seth Rogen (from the hilarious film Knocked Up) as a 25-year-old stoner whose job is too hard to understand, let alone name. Rogan's character is dating a high-schooler and buys his "delicious green" from James Franco's character. Franco's baked- dealer persona is pee-your-pants hysterical. He delivers...

HOLLYWOOD legend Paul Newman has been described as one of the greatest actors of all time and a true humanitarian. Tributes were paid from both sides of the Atlantic after his death. The blue-eyed star of films such as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid had been suffering from cancer and died aged 83 at his farmhouse near Westport, Connecticut, surrounded by family and friends. Oscar-winning British director Sam Mendes, who worked with Newman on the 2002 film Road To Perdition, said:...

By Susan Wloszczyna Mention Paul Newman, and a rush of unforgettable film scenes come to mind. Such as when his prison-camp rebel gorges on those 50 hard-boiled eggs after being challenged in Cool Hand Luke. Or that early-morning bike ride, where his grinning bandit charms Katharine Ross out of Robert Redford's bed as if he were a bowler-hatted knight on a rickety steed in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Or when his enraged alcoholic lawyer in The Verdict slugs his...

By Jessica Yadegaran As a relationship writer, I have to hear it all the time. Men don't bond with each other the same way women do. They don't like talking about their feelings. I hear this, naturally, from therapists paid to pull these feelings out of men, from couples -- and even from dudes themselves. But I think we're in a touchy-feely renaissance. My boyfriend spends hours on the phone helping his buddy analyze a relationship. And I'm pretty sure my dad has a man crush on Barack...

U.S. actor Josh Hartnett did an adequate job in his London debut as the co-star of a stage production of the movie "Rain Man," stage reviewers say.
