WHITTIER - A 15-year-old Whittier girl suffered major injuries Friday after being struck by a hit-and-run driver, authorities said. The crash occurred about 7 p.m. on Hawes Street, just west of Homage Avenue, California Highway Patrol officials said in a written release.
