Paleontologists in Spain have discovered a near-complete fossil of a bizarre new hump-backed dinosaur they believe predates the well-known dinosaurs that once ruled the Earth. Francisco Ortega of Spain discovered the fossil, and named it Concavenator corcovatus, meaning "the hunchback hunter from Cuenca." Carcharodontosaurus or "shark lizard" is a genus of carnivorous dinosaur from the Mid-Cretaceous Period (late Albian to early Cenomanian stage) around 100 to 93 million years ago. It gets its name, "˜shark lizard', from the shark genus Carcharodon, which comes from the Greek word karcharo, meaning "jagged".
