Guillermo Barros Schelotto scored twice in the second half Sunday, pulling the Columbus Crew into a 2-2 Major League Soccer draw with the Chicago Fire. Schelotto put the ball just inside the right post early in the half and scored on a penalty kick in the 78th minute. Peter Lowry scored in the 6th and 35th minutes for the Fire. The result left Columbus (11-4-10) with a three-point lead over second-place Chicago (10-6-10) in the Eastern Conference.

Dane Richards scored for the New York Red Bulls in a 1-0 Major League Soccer victory Sunday over the Columbus Crew. Richards fired a shot past Crew goalkeeper Andy Gruenebaum, the ball entering the net just inside the left post. The Red Bulls (4-16-4) next take on Kansas City Sept. 12. Schelotto scored two goals in the Crew's 2-1 come-from-behind win over Chivas USA Sunday to extend his team's unbeaten streak to nine games.
