Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE) resumed its drop in desktop browser market share in December, falling to an all time low and trending to drop below 50% as soon as March, according to metrics firm Net Applications. IE lost 0.8% in December, falling to 51.9%, a loss of more than seven percentage points during 2011, the Net Applications data revealed.
