That is why news that a new proposal for a marine education centre, looking out on Lyall Bay, is especially welcome. An earlier proposal, to build the education centre at Te Raekaihau Pt a little further south around the coastal road from Lyall Bay, died after the Environment Court denied resource consent, with two of its three members deciding the centre would alter the area too much....
