By MATTHEW THOMPSON Clean water is coming to 45 customers in the Derrick's Creek area of Kanawha County. The county commission has received federal funds secured by Rep. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., to begin the project. Capito secured $175,000 from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. County officials said the funds were enough to start the $1.1 million project. Superintendent Dr. Ira Trollinger presented another possible solution. He suggested the board consider building a magnet school.
