Three sets of tyrannosaur tracks discovered in northeastern British Columbia reveal the bipedal carnivores likely traveled in packs, according to new research published in Wednesday’s edition of the journal PLOS ONE.

Even the powerful tyrannosaurs seem to have encountered a midlife crisis. Once they made it to about age 2 they could take on just about any other predator and had very little mortality until they reached sexual maturity in their teens.

Gorgosaurus, meaning "fierce lizard", is a genus of tyrannosaurid theropod dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous Period (77 to 74 million years ago) that lived in what is now western North America.
