Tokyo, Sept. 22 (Jiji Press)--The volume of carbon dioxide emitted by Japanese power firms in fiscal 2007 rose 10.5 pct from a year earlier, an industry group said Monday. The average emission amount at 10 regional electric utility firms and two power developers for the year that ended in March came to 0.453 kilogram per kilowatt-hour, the Federation of Electric Power Companies of Japan said.
