Phil Mickelson came from behind Sunday to win Tour Championship and Tiger Woods, who was second, got a $10 million prize for winning the FedEx Cup points race. Mickelson shot a 5-under-par 65 for 9-under 271 and a three-shot spread over Woods, a six-time winner in 2009 who closed with a 70, good enough for his second FedEx Cup win in three years. The title was Mickelson's 37th on the PGA Tour and third this year.

Rookie Webb Simpson shot a 3-under 68 in difficult scoring conditions Friday and became the surprising 36-hole leader at The Barclays. Simpson has played in 30 tournaments this year without a victory and began the first of the PGA Tour's four playoff events ranked 85th on the FedEx Cup points list.
