RICHMOND, Va., Feb. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Media General, Inc. (NYSE: MEG) announced today that it is implementing an employee furlough program in the face of an economy that continues to contract, causing the advertising market to further weaken.
MediaNews Group has told 3,000 staff members at its California newspapers to take a one-week furlough or face possible layoffs.
