Crude oil futures remained above $67 a barrel Friday, posting a 39-cent gain to $67.35 in early trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Oil prices slid on Asian markets. Natural gas futures rose 0.03 cent at $3.58 per 1,000 cubic feet. Heating oil was up almost a penny a gallon at $1.77 and August reformulated blendstock gasoline was up 0.68 cent at $1.92 a gallon. The AAA said the average U.S. price for regular unleaded gasoline was $2.47 a gallon, up slightly from Thursday's $2.465.

Average U.S. gas prices have risen for two straight days following 68 consecutive daily declines, the motorist group AAA reported Sunday. Gasoline prices have fallen for the 67th day in a row, sinking to a U.S. average of $1.929 per gallon, a survey from automotive organization AAA indicated.
