iPad Hacker Sentenced To 3.5 Years, Attorney Says He Was Wrongly Convicted

Last November, 26-year old Andrew Aurenheimer was found guilty of identity fraud and conspiracy to access a computer without authorization. Yesterday, he was sentenced to three years and five months in prison to pay for his crimes.

One of the hackers responsible for breaking into AT&T’s stores of data and stealing the personal information of more than 100,000 iPad owners has been found guilty.

US federal prosecutors have charged two people with stealing email addresses and other data from roughly 120,000 users of Apple's iPad after finding a security weakness in AT&T's servers.
