Tropical Storm Bertha showed signs of regaining hurricane status Tuesday after brushing Bermuda and moving northeast, U.S. forecasters said. At 5 a.m., Bertha, with sustained 70 mph winds and gusts up to 85 mph, was centered 190 miles north-northeast of Bermuda, the U.S.

The Bermuda Weather Service posted a tropical storm watch Friday as Hurricane Bertha spun 310 miles south-southeast of the island. At 11 a.m., the storm was packing sustained winds of 85 mph with gusts up to 105, forecasters at the U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami said.
