Ervin Santana pitched a shutout and Kendry Morales had a home run and three RBI Monday when the Los Angeles Angels beat Texas 11-0 to clinch the AL West title. Santana (8-8) went the distance, scattering seven hits, walking one and striking out three for the Angels, who won their third straight division title. Morales drove in two runs with his 33rd home run of the season in the first inning, when the Angels scored three runs.

Davis had three hits as part of an 18- hit attack for the Rangers, who trail the first-place Los Angeles Angels by 4 1/2 games in the AL West, and pulled within two games of Boston in the AL wild-card chase.
