U.S. actress Idina Menzel has given birth to her first child, a son she named Walker Nathaniel Diggs. A friend of Menzel and her husband, actor Taye Diggs, confirmed the birth to E! News. The couple met in 1995 when they co-starred in the Broadway musical Rent. They married in 2003 and now appear on the TV series Private Practice. Mother, father and son are all doing well, Menzel and Diggs's representatives said in a statement issued to People.com.

Idina Menzel is pregnant with her first child, said a publicist for the U.S. actress and her husband Taye Diggs. Menzel and Diggs, who co-starred in the stage and film versions of the musical Rent, have been a couple for 13 years. They married in 2003.
