Fujitsu has announced plans to enter the low-cost handheld PC market with the launch of the first model in China, Hong Kong, and Singapore priced at $500 to $700. It plans to enter the Japanese market by March 2010. Fujitsu is expected to use the Intel Atom processor for the 10-inch wide notebook PC, which will compete with Asustek's Eee PC and Acer's Aspire One model.
