Bill Dana was an aeronautical engineer, a test pilot and an astronaut. He retired on May 29, 1998, a few months shy of 40 years of distinguished service to NASA and passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at the age of 83.

Joe Engle is a retired U.S. Air Force colonel and a former NASA astronaut. He was born Joe Henry Engle on August 26, 1932 in Chapman, Kansas. He attended the University of Kansas, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering in 1955.
