AirAsia X has launched a new service from Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia to Melbourne in Australia. The airline operates the new service using wide-bodied Airbus A330-300 aircraft. AirAsia X will service the route between Melbourne and Kuala Lumpur initially with four return flights per week. AirAsia has announced that it will launch a daily direct flight to Tiruchirappalli in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, beginning December 1, 2008.
