By Michael Pearce, The Wichita Eagle, Kan. Aug. 1--Zebra mussels have been found at Lake Afton, the second time this week the invasive species has been found in Wichita-area lakes. They were found Monday in Marion Lake. Zebra mussels are highly prolific and can clog water in-take structures of power plants and out-compete native mussels and fish for food.
