WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Agriculture Department said on Friday it verified a strip kit that can detect the unapproved genetically modified Liberty Link rice trait in 10 minutes. U.S. rice exports were imperiled with discovery of trace amounts of the Liberty Link trait in long grain rice stored in Arkansas and Missouri.
