Rod Edwards (left) and Bob Wood carry out some maintenance work on Madley's Aerial 1, the first antenna erected at BT's Satellite Communications Centre in Madley, Herefordshire, for the centre's 30th anniversary. The BT satellite earth station, believed to be the largest in the world, has played a key role in worldwide broadcasts of some of the most dramatic events of the past three decades.
