Latest Microsoft Silverlight Stories
For years Netflix has relied on Microsoft’s Silverlight plugin, but according to a recent blog post, the movie streaming service will be moving away from all plugins and begin using the friendlier HTML 5 to stream their movies to the web.
Russian antivirus company Dr. Web has discovered a new Trojan in the wild which is actively targeting Macs. The most prominent example of this Trojan is called “Trojan.Yontoo.1” and has been found to install an adware plugin on infected machines.
Mozilla is getting “foxy” as it looks to improve security and reduce crashes on its Firefox browser. Beginning soon Mozilla will in essence unplug most browser plug-ins, and users will have to manually approve any content via a so-called “Click to play” action.
Mozilla has released their latest stable version of their popular web browser, Firefox. Firefox 17 includes a few new features as well as a new step into the future and further away from the past.
