ALLENTOWN, Pa., Feb. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- PPL Corporation (NYSE: PPL) on Friday (2/10) announced 2011 reported earnings of $1.44 billion, or $2.61 per share, up from $938 million, or $2.17 per share in 2010. Excluding special items, PPL's 2011 earnings from ongoing operations were $1.5 billion, or $2.72 per share, compared with $1.4 billion, or $3.13 per share in 2010.
