A CARE home for older people has been extended with a specialist dementia nursing unit. Newton Aycliffe Town Mayor George Gray officially opened the facility at Aycliffe Care Centre, in Newton Ay - cliffe. The home, which is owned by Southern Cross, was established 16 years ago.
