Inpex Holdings, the Japanese explorer of oil and natural gas, said its subsidiary had discovered natural gas and condensate reserves off the coast of western Australia. It found the reserves at its exploration well Mimia-1 in the WA- 344-P offshore block, next to the giant Ichthys liquefied natural gas field in the Browse Basin, Inpex said in a statement.
