The culture ministry said on Tuesday, that maintenance workers at Egypt's Giza Pyramids have found an ancient quartzite statue of a seated man buried close to the surface of the desert.
Egyptâ€™s top archaeologist reported Thursday the identification of a severely eroded pyramid south of the capital city of Cairo. The pyramid has been attributed to the Fifth Dynasty Pharaoh Menkauhor, who ruled Egypt in the 24th century BC.
Archeologists unveiled Tuesday the tombs of a Pharaonic butler and scribe that had been buried in the sand for more than 3,000 years.
