At 1815gmt, Iranian TV's network two started its nightly roundtable discussion on Iran's recent space launch. Iran announced on 17 August that it successfully launched Safir-e Omid satellite- carrier.
According to Fars News Agency, Defence Minister Brig Gen Mostafa Mohammad Najjar has referred to the successful launch of Safir-e Omid satellite carrier and said: "With the successful test of all remote-controlled communication systems and the launch of Sarfir-e Omid satellite carrier, our countries' experts will be able to put our national satellite in the orbit in the not too distant future."
