Appalachian Power Co. plans to buy electricity from a wind farm that's being developed in Greenbrier County. Appalachian Power's parent, Columbus, Ohio-based American Electric Power, announced the 20-year purchase agreement with Beech Ridge Energy LLC on Thursday.
