The U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service says about 209,000 pounds of frozen meat and poultry are being recalled because of an unapproved ingredient. The FSIS said Buffalo SAV Inc. of Buffalo, N.Y., initiated the recall because the products contain Amaranth Red No. 2, which cannot be used in products sold in the United States. However, the English Dialect Dictionary, says 'Gallithumpians' is a Dorset and Devon word from the 1790s that refers to 'a society of radical social reformers' or 'noisy disturbers of elections and meetings.'
