TRENTON, N.J. - Maybe they don't call it the Garden State for nothing. A wildflower never before seen in New Jersey has been found in a forest here. The fern-leaf scorpion-flower (Phacelia bipinnatifida) has been documented at Whittingham Wildlife Management Area in Sussex County. Environmental Protection Commissioner Lisa Jackson announced the discovery Thursday. The tiny, lavender-blue flower will be listed as endangered.
