An Egyptian real-estate mogul and ex-member of Parliament has been found guilty of ordering the slaying of his ex-girlfriend, Lebanese pop singer Suzanne Tamim. Tamim's career reportedly began when she won a gold medal on Lebanon's Studio al-Fann talent show in 1996.

An Egyptian businessman and member of parliament pleaded not guilty Saturday to paying for the killing of a Lebanese pop star. Suzanne Tamim was stabbed in July in her apartment in Dubai. The killer allegedly gained entrance by posing as a building worker.
