Russia's energy giant Gazprom said it began shipping natural gas to Europe Tuesday using a trans-Ukraine pipeline shut down mid-winter by a gas bill dispute. Russia began by shipping 76 million cubic meters of gas, far less than the average daily volume of 300 million cubic meters, The New York Times reported. Russia had shut down deliveries, claiming Ukraine was stealing gas from the pipeline.
