The U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall of approximately 564 pounds of possible tainted duck leg confit and sausage products. The FSIS said the Schaller Mfg. The U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall of approximately 872 pounds of Alaskan-made sausage products due to possible contamination. The FSIS said the Alaska Sausage Company Inc. of Anchorage, Alaska, said the sausage products might be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, posing a public health hazard.
