THE oldest living gorilla in captivity has died at her home in the US. Dallas Zoo spokesman Sean Greene said today that Jenny was put down at the age of 55 because of an inoperable tumour in her stomach. Jenny had stopped eating and drinking recently, and zoo officials decided to put her to sleep last night after test results showed she was unlikely to recover.
