Researchers are working on a wearable device for dogs that would be embedded in clothing and teeth. The system, called "facilitating interactions for dogs with occupations" (FIDO), is meant to make it easy for animals to communicate with their handlers better.
Penn State researchers say as people keep embracing smart devices, society will begin to accept other, stranger objects such as talking tissue boxes. The researchers said at the 2013 Annual Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems that the next phase of smart objects is that these devices will start talking and interacting with humans.
