Latest Southern District of New York Action Against Online Poker Players Stories
The world’s largest online poker company has agreed to pay more than $730 million in a settlement of a US government investigation charging the company used fraudulent methods to process payments and evade US restrictions on Internet gambling, according to officials involved in the case.
The US government claims that Full Tilt, an online gambling site based in Dublin, Ireland, is a ponzi scheme.
Eleven people from three online gambling sites were charged Friday with bank fraud, money laundering, illegal gambling and other offenses in an indictment by the US attorney for the southern district of New York.
