Stephen Bowen is a US Navy submariner, a NASA astronaut; and the second submariner to travel into space. He was born Stephen Gerard Bowen on February 13, 1964 in Cohasset, Massachusetts. He graduated from Cohasset High School in 1982 and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in 1986.
