Sweden's National Food Administration said a company's claims of health benefits from a fermented Baltic herring supplement are illegitimate. Petra Bergkvist of the National Food Administration said Halsingland company Rebiotica's surstromming supplement has not been shown to have the advertised healing effects for upset stomachs, gastric catarrh and heartburn, The Local reported Friday.
