ATHENS, December 18 /PRNewswire/ -- City of Athens Christmas festivities commenced on Tuesday December 16, with the lighting of the city's Christmas tree at Syntagma Square at 19:30. ATHENS (Reuters) - An explosion rocked a central Athens post office, close to Greece's Finance Ministry, on Monday, causing some damage, a police official told Reuters. It was not immediately clear if there were any casualties in the blast at the city's main Syntagma Square. A witness told state television he saw shattered glass more than 50 metres from the site of the blast.
