The Dallas Cowboys Friday released defensive coordinator Brian Stewart, who had been with the team two years. The Cowboys' defense allowed 22.8 points per game this season. Dallas, which finished 9-7 and missed the playoffs, gave up a total of 77 points in the last two games of the season. Stewart previously was with the San Diego Chargers and Houston Texans.

MAGNA -- Hazardous materials crews from the Unified Fire Authority along with officials from the Utah Department of Transportation and Salt Lake Valley Health Department are trying to figure out how a batch of sulfuric acid ended up on the side of a state road Friday.
