POLICE in Tipton issued a warning today following a spate of metal thefts, including gates. Raids have taken place in the last few days under cover of darkness in the Ocker Hill, Glebefields and Gospel Oak neighbourhoods of the Black Country town. A Rangiora couple who have developed a method for turning soiled disposable nappies into compost have been honoured with a Green Ribbon Award by the Government.
