M. Xanthus Ripples – Predation

Myxococcus xanthus predation ripples. M. xanthus are a common soil bacteria that is not pathogenic. Although the species is a single cell organism it is a social species. The organism is studied for its cooperative multi-cellular developmental behaviors. This movie is of ripples made when they are predatory. This movie is M. xanthus cells growing on E. coli.
