NASA Technologies Helping Firefighters

In this NASA video segment learn how NASA technologies are advancing the way firefighters are able to detect wild fires. This video describes Ikhana, the Unmanned Ariel System (UAS) that NASA is using for not only scientific studies but also to help firefighters control wild fires. Ikhana is able to take images through smoke and haze to detect hot spots and changes in temperature. These images are then transferred to NASA and sent to help firefighters.
